This week, Fast Company announced its annual ranking of the world’s Most Innovative Companies for 2016, honoring leading enterprises that exemplify the best in nimble business and impactful innovation. We’re proud to have earned a spot on the Sports Sector list. Take a look back at this adapted blog post from September 2015 on our partnership with the NFL as the “Official On-Field Player Tracking Provider.”

When the NFL kicked off its 2015 season, all players taking the field were sporting a new accessory. You aren’t able to see the nickel-sized RFID sensors embedded in the shoulder pads of every NFL uniform this season, but you’re definitely going to hear about them.

Zebra Will Track NFL Players in More than 330+ Games During the 2015 Season

A total of 78 nominees across 15 categories are set for the eighth annual Sports Business Awards. Winners will be announced at a ceremony May 20 at the New York Marriott Marquis at Times Square.

SportsBusiness Journal/Daily established the Sports Business Awards to recognize excellence, innovation and outstanding achievements in the business of sports. Nominations were earned for accomplishments during the period from March 1, 2014, to Feb. 28, 2015.
