The ninth in a series of blogs taking a closer look at Zebra's 2014 global study, commissioned by Forrester Consulting, on IoT implementation in the enterprise. The series will culminate in a Twitter chat discussing the Internet of Things.

A vast majority of business leaders in the European region agree that the Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing business. In fact, more than 95 percent of those European professionals who participated in a 2014 global study conducted by Forrester Consulting and commissioned by Zebra agree that IoT is the technology initiative of the decade.

These business leaders know how IoT can positively impact their business procedures and enhance their data collection processes. More than 80 percent of industries, companies and teams surveyed say they are ready to make changes required for IoT implementation. More specifically, more than half of European business decision makers either have implementations currently in place or are planning to deploy IoT solutions in 2015.

Respondents noted that they expect IoT implementations to provide operational and actionable data on location and condition which will empower process and cost optimization, enhance relationships and mitigate risk while enabling new functionality, expanding portfolios and promoting collaboration.

European businesses can expect to see many more innovations involving IoT solutions in the years to come!
