Your people trust in our technology – from nurses scanning test samples, to couriers collecting signatures, to warehouse teams tracking items – our mobile devices, printers, and tracking technology must work reliably all day, every day. That’s why our design teams work in the field alongside our customers. They shiver in cold stores, watch clinicians at work, help refuse teams collect rubbish, assist delivery drivers deliver the goods – and much more.
What they see and experience goes into our device design: design that ensures our products look great and are truly built for work, combining intuitive and simple operation with a tough build that can withstand falls onto concrete, extreme temperature changes and submersion in liquid.
The care we put into our products is visible in the TC51/56 touch computer. It looks and works like a smartphone. But comparisons end there. This is a device that’s all about helping your people work effectively and its clever design has been recognised by three prestigious design awards.
Three times a winnerIn March, the TC51/56 won the influential iF Award for design, and again in June, it earned one of the most esteemed awards in the world’s biggest design competition – the Red Dot. The Red Dot was even bigger this year, with more than 5,500 entries from 54 countries.
Earlier this month the TC5 Series won the Gold for product design in the A’ Design Award & Competition, which aims to encourage designers and brands worldwide to create superior products and projects for the benefit of society.
Great product design is about more than just aesthetics – it’s getting that perfect balance between beautiful looks and enterprise functionality. A point highlighted by Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. He said:
“The Red Dot winners….have recognised that good design and economic success go hand in hand.”
How design boosts productivityThe TC51/56’s smart design and functionality – focused on ergonomic principles and efficiency – helps your people do more. For example, easily swappable batteries, the tough build and a lightning-quick hex-core processor deliver unstoppable performance. The screen can be seen in direct sunlight, works in the wet, and can be used with gloves on, while features like Active Edge™ allow users to dedicate areas on the touchscreen for their most used apps – such as the camera and high-speed 1D/2D scanner. Indeed, with fast and accurate data capture, the TC51/56 is fully loaded with every feature your teams need, in a device that’s ready to work as hard as they do.
The model options include the TC51 (WLAN), TC56 (WLAN/4G), and the TC51-HC touch computer, approved for use in healthcare.
This is the 4th consecutive year we’ve won a Red Dot Product Design Award. For more information please check out touch computer range.
